Explorer was built to surface the best experts and projects in open source ecosystems. The challenge was turning a large network of people, projects, and ecosystems into something people could actually browse. We split ecosystems into technologies and topics so cross-cutting fields were not buried inside a single stack, then used category swimlanes and related links so people could see the breadth of each ecosystem and move through it without getting lost.
